| The West Suburban Early Music Society, Chapter of the ARS, is pleased to announce its Spring recorder workshop on Saturday, March 31, 2012, 9 AM to 5 PM at Naperville Evangelical Covenant Church, Naperville, Illinois featuring well-known performer and teacher of early music history and performance founding member of the Renaissance ensemble, Ciarmella, Rotem Gilbert! Dr. Gilbert, a native of Israel, teaches Baroque and Renaissance performance and history at the University of Southern California and is a founding member of the Renaissance ensemble Ciarmella. Ciarmella has recorded on the Naxos label and has toured Italy, Germany, and the United States. Dr. Gilbert has also been a member of Piffaro and has appeared with ARTEX, the Newberry Consport, and a variety of other ensembles. |
